The Storybook Lace Collar Knit Cardigan is built around an oversized scalloped collar - embroidered tulle petals edged in looped braid trim - that spreads wide across the shoulders and finishes the neckline so completely that no necklace, no scarf, nothing else is needed. The body is a soft eyelash knit with a quiet halo to it, cut short and boxy so it sits right at the waistband of anything high-rise, while full balloon sleeves gather into ribbed cuffs to balance out the cropped shape. Because the collar is set into the knit rather than layered on top, it lies flat and stays put instead of flipping up by lunchtime. Button it over satin trousers and heels for Christmas dinner, or wear it with wide-leg jeans and boots when you want something pretty on an ordinary Wednesday.
