Borrowed from a stable, softened for real life. The Riding Club Suede Trim Cardigan runs a band of contrast faux suede down the full length of the button placket, and it isn't only decorative - that strip gives a soft knit a spine, so the front edge stays flat and clean instead of stretching out and rolling the way an unsupported cardigan placket always eventually does. The same suede turns up where it earns its keep: flap pockets at the hip, oval patches at each elbow. Tencel blended through the yarn keeps the hand cool and dry rather than squeaky, and a ribbed funnel collar stands on its own without asking for a scarf. Layer it over a white tee with khaki wide-legs and a woven belt for that easy country-club look, or button it up over a midi skirt with tall boots when the weather turns. Heritage, without the costume.
